Recommended engine oil for s-presso

Petrol and CNG Engine
Maruti recommends 0W-16 grade oil for the S-Presso and Go for a good quality API SL or SN (or above) spec, which is what you’ll get with most well-known synthetic or semi-synthetic brands in India.

If you can’t find 0W-16 (happens sometimes at small garages or up in the hills), the absolute fallback would be SAE 0W-20
but it’s always best to stick to 0W-16 for the S-Presso’s K10 engine.

the S-Presso’s K10C petrol engine (and even the earlier K10B) engin is happiest with a 0W-16 grade and though 0W-20 is a passable backup. the brands are ,
- Maruti Genuine Oil (Ecstar)
- Castrol
- Motul
- Shell
- Mobil 1
Just make sure: It’s fully synthetic (not just semi-synth) for best performance
It meets API SN or higher rating
this is my personal 5 engine oil brands for your maruti S-presso.
s presso engine oil change km
Maruti S-presso recommends an oil change every 10,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first.
But if you’re driving a lot in traffic, dusty roads, or extreme heat, doing it a bit earlier (say, every 8,000 km) isn’t a bad idea.
Maruti S-Presso Mileage in India
Mileage matters for S-Presso owners. Here are ARAI and real-world figures:
- Petrol (1.0L K10B/C): 24.76 kmpl (manual), 25.3 kmpl (AMT, ARAI); 18–20 kmpl (city), 22–24 kmpl (highway).
- CNG (1.0L K10C): 32.73 km/kg (ARAI); 26–28 km/kg (city), 29–31 km/kg (highway).
Using 0W-16 oil boosts efficiency. Calculate your S-Presso’s mileage with our mileage calculator.
Final thought
The S-Presso’s small K10B and K10C engine isn’t picky, but it does reward you for using the right oil.
Stick to 0W-16, change it on time, and keep the quantity right, and it’ll run smooth for years without giving you headaches.
